| Review of Jim Slip:
I want to have a cool porno name. I've been thinking about it all morning, and I don't quite know what it would be. John Strap maybe? That is about the coolest I could come up with, but it also has the aftereffect of sounding like a gay porn star. Well, one person has a good porn name- and that is Mr. Jim Strap! Today we check out his site, and all of the lovelies he gets to be with!
Jim Strap is a reality site based in the UK, with the idea of Jim going around and picking up women to give it to. They try to use more normal girls, and then dress them up in sluttier outfits, and then "shag" the shit out of them. Hey, it works for me. I like that while this isn't a groundbreaking theme or anything, they really put a lot of charm into it, and it makes it work. Jim Strap looks more like my 6th grade science teacher than some porn stud, that also gives it a nicer sense of realism.
When you first sign into Jim Strap, you are given a page that shows six of the latest updates to the set. You get one thumbnail for each of the girls, and the thumbnail is a pretty good portrait/action picture. These are bordered by some weird film-reel looking border, made it look a little odd. Underneath each one you get Jim's Verdict- a 1-10 scale rating of the girl, the action, and all in between. This was a cool little addition- sure, we know Jim is going to rank most of these high- but it still is a nice touch. Outside of the previews, you also have the chance to go to the pictures or the movies section.
The videos are the big focus here. Going into the video page, you will see five or so smaller thumbnails. These represent each segment of video. For each segment, you can download in WMV quality- low, high, or full screen. You also get a nice description of the set. Whoever wrote these should be applauded, because they are more than your standard, generic blurbs about a set. They are well written, take the theme further, and are somewhat entertaining to read as you download the segments. Unfortunately there is no full segment of the entire video. That is what I found to be the biggest downfall of the site. I ended up having to download one video at a time, because if I tried more, they wouldn't download. So the end result is a slightly time consuming download process.
For the time that it takes, however, the dividends are spectacular. The full screen quality videos look great, and can be brought to full screen (hence the name) with very little loss of clarity. The action is shot well, and everything is done really good here. The action flows smoothly, and you don't get a shitload of distortion when sudden movements are made either. The file sizes aren't unmanageable either. Jim Slip delivers the goods in the video department through and through!
As far as the pictures go, they are shot independently. No vidcaps here! The pictures actually look pretty nice, and seem a little more posed out than I would expect. They have a lot of pictures here, to the point where you have two seemingly identical pictures next to each other sometimes. The pictures are still done well, don't get me wrong- but I think they should be more select in choosing what gets on the site from the original shots taken. That said, another flaw is no zip download for the pictures- with this many, it takes for a lot of pointing and clicking if you want more than a couple of pictures from a set!
The girls on Jim Slip are awesome. I would like to take this time to say that if anywhere, the girl named Lena is reading this, I have an engagement ring waiting for you in my safe. She is so
beautiful! But she isn't the only one, there are lots of good looking women here. The cool thing is, none of them look overly slutty- or "porny" is a term I've used to describe before as well.
At the time of review, there are a big 180 sets of content on Jim Slip. Awesome! The site is updated faithfully on a weekly basis. This will keep you busy for a while, as you can imagine. A few of the sets are split "part 1 and part 2" but it is doesn't happen enough to be an annoyance. Even when it does, they are independent sets. There are no real bonuses here- but I think with this site its not really necessary since the content level is pretty high to begin with!
Conclusion
Jim Slip is a very good site, with a cool overall theme, nice actresses, and a cool feel. Take into account the fact that there is a lot of content here, and you have yourself a pretty good site. It is not without its flaws, but I think the plusses way overweight the minuses!
