| Review of Right Off the Boat:
Here in the USA, there is a bigtime fetish among men for women who are foreign. It is hard to explain, but I think the biggest kick we get out of them is the fact that we are poisoning their innocence. Or so we think. In reality, there is probably the same amount of innocence within both of the cultures. But it is big over here. So big, that saleswomen in the mall often fake accents (pretty bad actually) to try to attract men. Of course, they are not dating them, just trying to sell a product. The sad part is, that it works!
Right Off The Boat is a site that capitalizes on this idea. Basically, the theme is that these women will do anything to stay in the US! Maybe not once they see what we have to offer, seeing as they are "right off the boat." The theme here is pretty typical, nothing really all that new. But like a lot of the sites on this network, the theme can be typical but also very good. Right Off The Boat definately could work as a site- let's see if it does!
The Right Off The Boat homepage first starts with a small text box. This basically shows off all of the network updates,and this of course includes updates to this site. Then you get a focus on the latest update, with a bigger thumbnail, a full description, and links to the photos and videos. Underneath this, you get the rest of the updates- with partial descriptions and small thumbnails. For the size of the thumbs, you get a pretty good idea of what the girls look like and whether you will want to see the set. So they did a pretty good job here with very little. Underneath this is the listing of all of the bonus sites, and then the leased network. I like the simple site design, but here it seemed like they spent more than half of the page showcasing network stuff and not the content here. This is the way it works throughout the network- I don't think it would kill them to add a bit more for each girl if they are going to spend so much room on the bonus material. Still, this design works- it is very simple, but it works.
The videos have three major flaws. All of the flaws are quite interlocked, in other words, one wouldn't be so bad if the other ones weren't present. The first flaw is that the high quality videos are DRM protected. This means that you need to enter a password everytime you want to view a segment. The second flaw would be the segments. If you go for the MPGs, you have about 60 1-minute segments to download. Nobody wants to bother with that, and many will present the argument that you can join them. Well, sure it might be technically possible, but it's still a pain in the ass. The WMV segments, which are DRM protected, are only 8-10 segments long, but that is still a lot especially considering you will be having to enter a password every segment.
The third flaw is that the quality just isn't there. The highest quality WMVs I was just talking about are only around 512k. The MPGs might be better, but who wants to mess around with all that garbage when there is porn a lot easily attainable? It's the mixture of these three that really make the videos undesirable, regardless of the actual content. I would like to add the the actual content is indeed quite good.
The photos here are pretty good. The photos are 533 x 800 pixels and they are independently taken. It gives you a really good idea of the girls and also puts them into a different situation, one with a lot more posing and fun and less hardcore action and definately no talking. This would be a great companion to the videos, if only the videos were any good. This is the kind of photo section I like with strong video sites. I just wish this could be a strong video site.
The reason I wish this is because everything here is good. The girls are very attractive. You can tell a lot of them are acting the "no english" part, but that is also common in America. For the most part, they look like they could be right off the boat, although the boat coming from European countries. I usually think latina when I see the phrase "right off the boat." The action here is solid too, save for the predictable beginnings. Every movie, this guy gets a phone call, and then the next minute the girl is at the door. There is some pretty bad video chopping in here too. But anyway, the action is very good, and this is great porno, just presented poorly.
There were nine girls right off the boat at the time of this review. That might not seem like a lot, but this is a new site, and the updates come in quite a bit. The network here has a history of good updates and good porn, so the site has that going for it. Unfortunately, the network also has all of the negatives that this site has.
The sites in the Adult.com network include Limo Patrol, Right Off The Boat, Latina Caliente, Teen Hitchhikers, Big Tit Bangers, Slut Seeker, MILF Cruiser, Big Sausage Pizza, Hardcore Partying, 2 Chicks One Dick, Cheerleader Auditions, Girls Hunting Girls, Eat My Black meat, Nude Beach House, and Eurobride Tryouts. Lots of sites, all have the same problems as this one.
Conclusion
I am not just DRM-bashing here, but this just isn't worth it. There is an inflated price tag, and along with the DRM nonsense, you don't really get an easy to use downloading interface nor do you get a good quality.
